MOISHE OYSHER CLASSICS
One of the great talents of the Yiddish theater, Moishe Oysher (1907-1958) gained a reputation not only for his acting, but for his voice. When not on the stage, Oysher, like his father and grandfather, served as a cantor. His film debut came with "The Cantor's Son" in 1936.  Two other Yiddish films, in which he starred, followed.

David Pinski's classic story of a blacksmith who sees too many women and drinks far too much liquor.  Then, he meets Tamare and his life changes, or does it?  A most enjoyable film, punctuated by Moishe Oysher's rich voice.  Also with Miriam Riselle and Florence Weiss.  USA.
