The Bent Tree This charming fable, presented through Sally Heckel's sand animation, is based on Itzik Manger's bittersweet Yiddish folk tune "Oyfn Veg Shteyt A Boym." The story, sung in Yiddish by Josh Waletzky, tells of a small child whose mother tries to prevent her from discovering her surroundings and flying like a bird. For young and old!
